What's new in JAsCoDT?

This version of JAsCoDT corresponds to revision 1735 in the JAsCoDT SVN repository.

• An aspect outline view has been added, which shows the outline of the aspect that is currently being edited.
• A connector outline view has been added, which shows the outline of the connector that is currently being edited.

This version of JAsCoDT corresponds to revision 1172 in the JAsCoDT SVN repository.

• JAsCoDT now contains version 0.8.5M4 of the JAsCo kernel. For more information on the changes introduced in this version, please consult the release notes on the JAsCo website.
• The aspect wizard now supports around throwing, around returning, after throwing, and after returning advices.
• One can now add/remove “JAsCo nature” to/from Java projects by right-clicking a project and selecting the corresponding command. Adding JAsCo nature to a project adds the JAsCo builder and JAsCo libraries to it. Removing the nature does exactly the opposite.
• An “update JAsCo libraries” command has been added that can be used to update the JAsCo libraries of the project on which it is executed after JAsCo has been updated.

• Several minor bugs in the JAsCo runner options pages have been fixed.
• The JAsCo connector editor now supports the new refinable, thisHook, thisJoinPoint, and thisJoinPointObject keywords, as introduced in JAsCo v0.8.5M2.
• The JAsCo aspect wizard has been completely rewritten.
• The JAsCoDT preference page now allows the user to specify with which VM (J2SE v1.4 or J2SE v5.0) the generated code should be compatible. Eclipse v3.0 users can only select J2SE v1.4, as that version of Eclipse is not fully compatible with J2SE v5.0 yet.
• JAsCoDT should now work correctly when the installation path of Eclipse contains spaces, or when a JAsCo project has separate sources and binaries folders.
• The location of tools.jar now has to be specified in the JAsCo HotSwap runner options page instead of in the JAsCoDT preference page, and only if JAsCo HotSwap 1 is selected.
• A bug in the JAsCo project wizard has been fixed: the Java perspective is now automatically opened when the wizard finishes.
• JAsCoDT now contains a wizard that creates (very basic) JAsCo refining classes. The functionality necessary to compile such classes has been added.
